This is a rare version of an Astoria pen - its the first lever filler I have seen so far. Its a subbrand pen, marked "RUF PEN" - a company similar to Taylorix -that sold accounting materials for offices.
Astoria was founded in 1921 by a former workmaster of Montblanc. They very successfully marketed safety pens until 1930 . . . |

This one here in all dimensions and threads is similar to an Astoria make - but i am not 100% sure, if its really made by Astoria. This is rare safety from the 1920´s, made by Astoria to promote Cash registers made by Krupp in Essen.
There is no. Astoria imprint to be found, but some facts clearly indicate the maker - the Model imprint is very similar to Astoria - the inner Spiral is similar to Astoria as well.

This is one of the very rare Astoria pens, with a unique filling system, named Astoria Dux. The turning knob at the barrel end when twisted pushes forward a tiny brass part inside, which then bends a spring bar similar to those found in button fillers.

This is a spring loaded pen, no spiral moving out the nib when operating the turning knob,
a spring inside pushes out the nib.
