Details | |
Description | These 149 Materpieces are being made from the early fifties without interuption till today. However, this is the early version made in the fifties. It shows some very important differences compared to the pens of today: 1. the pen is made on the lathe from celluloid. 2. the feed is still from ebonite. 3. The small capbands are made from solid silver. 4. the piston mechanism is the famous full metal teleskopic mechanism, as it had been invented in 1934. The pen offered here is in wonderful condition, no. crack, no signs of shrinkage, tight cap bands and no signs of brassing. A rare and valuable item. The pen is fully working. It has the round later version of the feeder. Nib is a 14 K medium tip original nib with perfect two tone pattern. The pen is in excellent to near mint condition, only some very little spots on the black part of the barrel and the cap. There is no transparency of the black part of the barrel at all. The stripes of the inkwindow are a little bit consumed, as you see from the pictures. Of course the pen is fully working, shows no crack, no brassing, no owner imprint. |
